Job Summary
The organization is seeking a highly experienced Senior Network & Network Security Architect with deep expertise in enterprise routing, switching, data center networking, load balancing, and network security controls.
This role focuses on designing, standardizing, and governing enterprise network architecture to ensure high availability, scalability, and security, particularly within healthcare and clinical environments.
The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on and architectural experience in enterprise network infrastructure (routing/switching, VRFs, VLANs, Nexus, HA design, L4/L7 load balancing) along with solid expertise in network security technologies such as firewalls, WAF, NAC, and proxies. Knowledge of modern security frameworks like SASE, Zero Trust, and Cloud SWG is essential.
Core Responsibilities
- Design and oversee enterprise network infrastructures including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, Wi-Fi, and data center connectivity
- Develop high-availability and low-latency network architectures for critical environments
- Define network zoning, IP schema, and segmentation strategies for complex systems
- Implement and govern advanced network security controls:
- Firewalls, VPNs, WAF
- IDS/IPS
- DLP and secure web/email gateways
- Integrate security practices into infrastructure design and risk mitigation strategies
- Lead adoption of Zero Trust, SASE, IAM, and next-generation security models
- Deliver Engineering Design Packages (EDPs), architecture diagrams, and traffic flow analysis
- Establish and maintain network/security standards and communication protocols
- Lead vendor evaluations, PoCs, and technical workshops
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and healthcare security frameworks
Key Requirements
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in enterprise network architecture and design
- Expert-level knowledge of routing, switching, LAN/WAN, and wireless networking
- Strong experience with firewalls, VPNs, WAF, IDS/IPS, DLP, and segmentation
- Advanced experience in IP schema design, zoning, and multi-domain segmentation
- Familiarity with cloud connectivity, SASE, Zero Trust, IAM, and hybrid architectures
- Experience in healthcare or regulated environments is highly preferred
- Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proven ability to lead workshops and align technical solutions with business needs
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred)
